Write-up:

The high throughput facility of the Center for Drug Discovery caters to the needs of the VCU researchers in screening and discovery of novel molecules. Both VCU and external researchers can use this facility for a fee. The facility provides High throughput screening of chemical compound libraries for the purpose of drug and target discovery. The facility has the necessary instrumentation, databases, drug compound libraries and also personnel whose previous sole domain was in the industry.  We have the state of art instrumentation like Labtech Calriostar Multiplate reader, BioTek MultiFlo FX bulk liquid dispensers, Combidrop nL liquid dispensers and also Labcyte Echo liquid handler machines for transfer of low volume samples for high throughput screening and large genomic projects.
