The Institute for Structural Biology, Drug Discovery and Development Commemorates State-of-the-Art X-Ray Crystallographic Equipment at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

April 23, 2018

This state-of-the-art equipment consists of MicroMax-007HF generator, VariMax-HF Arc Optics, Hybrid Photon Counter, Eiger R 4M Detector, AFC11 Goniometer and Oxford Cobra Cryo-system and is located in the X-Ray Crystallography Facility at ISB3D. This facility is available to the VCU community, as well as, outside organizations.

The X-Ray Crystallography facility provides investigators equipment and resources for crystallographic analysis of macromolecules and/or small molecules. It offers and operates as a full service core by performing crystallization, X-ray diffraction data collection, processing, phasing, crystallographic refinement, model building, and visualization.

For your crystallographic and other structural biology service needs/or potential collaborations, contact Dr. Martin Safo. (msafo@vcu.edu) or Dr. Faik Musayev (fmusayev@vcu.edu).
